Remember, as a child, the fascination with big trucks, dump trucks, ambulances, police cars, tractors, bull dozers and the like? Every child loves to see and engage with these larger than life vehicles.
As a Fall event, Families Helping Families will present the opportunity for children of all ages to “Touch-A-Truck”. This unique event will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Ike Hamilton Expo and will allow climbing, vehicle touching and noise making around construction, emergency, farm equipment, and commercial vehicles. Children will be encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes as candy will be handed out to kids as they visit each vehicle.
The family friendly interactive happening will be a fund raiser to support families of children with disabilities as well as adults with disabilities. FHF professionals respond to over 6,000 requests of support annually and funding is essential. FHF provides training on topics relevant to individuals with disabilities and their family members. The nonprofit agency gives families knowledge, support and confidence in their journey through life.
